Iowa corn casserole

Ingredients:
1 lbsBacon, diced
2 cupBread crumbs
1/4 cupMinced onion
1/2 cupChopped green pepper
2 canCream style corn
(16.5 oz. ea.)
Procedures:
1In a skillet, fry the bacon until lightly browned.
2Remove and set aside.
3Pour 1/8 to ?cup of the bacon drippings over bread crumbs; set aside.
4Discard all but 2 tablespoons of remaining drippings; saute onion and green pepper until tender.
5Stir in corn and bacon.
6Spoon into a 1 quart baking dish; sprinkle with crumbs.
7Bake at 350 °F for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.
8Yield: 6-8 servings.
