Ingredients:
1 lbsLean ground beef round
1 tbspInstant minced onion
1 Clove garlic, peeled and
-crushed
1 tbspPepper
2 1/2 tbspChili powder
2/3 cupWater
8 ozCan tomato sauce
2 cupSharp Cheddar cheese
-shredded
1/4 tbspSalt
6 Tortillas or taco shells
Procedures:
1Crumble beef into a shallow, 2 ?quart, heat-resistant, non- metallic casserole.
2Sprinkle meat with minced onion and crushed garlic.
3Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 5 minutes.
4Stir oc- casionally to break up meat.
5Drain excess fat.
6Add pepper, chili powder, water and tomato sauce.
7Stir to combine.
8Heat, uncovered, 4 minutes in microwave oven.
9Alternately layer tortillas, meat sauce and cheese in a round-1 ?quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
10Last layer should be cheese.
11Heat, covered, in microwave oven 7 to 9 minutes or until cheese is melted
