Ingredients:

| cup | Water | | 1/4
| cup | Olive oil | | 2
| tbsp | Minced garlic | | 1/4
| tsp | Ground red pepper | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 4
| | Slices slightly | | | -stale white bread |

Procedures:
| 1 | Boil the water. | | 2 | Trim the crust off teh bread. | | 3 | Cut slices into ?inch cubes. | | 4 | Heat the oil in a wide-heavy-bottemed 2 to 3 quart pot over low heat. | | 5 | Fry the garlic for 15 seconds, stirring constantly. | | 6 | Add teh bread for 3 to 5 minutes, until the cubes are lightly brown. | | 7 | Stir constantly. | | 8 | Add teh boiling water, cayenne and salt. | | 9 | Simmer uncovered for 12 minutes, stirring ocasionally. | | 10 | Serve immediately. | | 11 | If you don"t have stale bread, place cubes on a plate and let stand at room temperature fr at least 12 hours or place cubes on a cookie sheet and place in preheated 200 °F oven for 15 to 20 minutes |
