Ingredients:
2 tbspButter, margarine or
2 tbspChicken fat
2 tbspFlour
Salt and pepper
1 cupChicken stock or broth
4 ozSliced mushrooms, drained
Procedures:
1Melt butter in a deep, 1-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole in microwave oven 30 seconds.
2Blend in flour and salt and pepper to taste.
3Stir until smooth.
4Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
5Gradually stir in chicken stock.
6Add mushroom slices; stir to combine.
7Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 4 minutes or until gravy is thickened and smooth.
8Stir every 60 seconds during cooking.
9Makes 1 cu
