Ingredients:

| cup | Apples, sliced 4 | | 4
| | Pears, sliced 4 large | | 2
| tbsp | Lime juice | | 2/3
| cup | Sugar, brown, firmly packed | | 1/4
| cup | Cornstarch | | 1/2
| tsp | Cinnamon | | 1/4
| tsp | Nutmeg | | 2
| tbsp | Butter | | 1
| | Pastry for 9 inch pie |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350 degrees prepare pastry or thaw frozen pastry and set aside. | | 2 | Peel and slice apples and pears. | | 3 | Place in large bowl and toss with lime juice. | | 4 | Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl. | | 5 | Toss with apple and pear slices until coated. | | 6 | Turn into a 9x1-?inch deep dish pie plate. | | 7 | Dot with butter. | | 8 | Roll out pastry for top crust. | | 9 | Cut slits to vent steam during baking and place over filling. | | 10 | Seal and flute edges. | | 11 | Bake at 350 °F for 45 to 50 minutes or until crust is lightly browned. |
