Ingredients:
4 cupApples, sliced 4
4 Pears, sliced 4 large
2 tbspLime juice
2/3 cupSugar, brown, firmly packed
1/4 cupCornstarch
1/2 tspCinnamon
1/4 tspNutmeg
2 tbspButter
1 Pastry for 9 inch pie
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees prepare pastry or thaw frozen pastry and set aside.
2Peel and slice apples and pears.
3Place in large bowl and toss with lime juice.
4Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl.
5Toss with apple and pear slices until coated.
6Turn into a 9x1-?inch deep dish pie plate.
7Dot with butter.
8Roll out pastry for top crust.
9Cut slits to vent steam during baking and place over filling.
10Seal and flute edges.
11Bake at 350 °F for 45 to 50 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
