Ingredients:
PIE
6 ea Tart apples
1/2 cupSugar
2 tbspFlour
1 tspCinnamon
1/8 tspCloves
TOPPING
1/2 cupFlour
1/4 cupSugar
1/2 cupGrated cheddar
1/4 cupMelted butter
1 xSour cream (optional)
Procedures:
19 in pie crust pie: peel, core, and slice thinly the apples.
2Mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cloves and toss the apples lightly in this mixture.
3Arrange the apples in the pastry-lined pan.
4Topping: combine the flour, sugar, and cheese.
5Mix in the melted butter.
6Sprinkle the cheese crumbs over the apples.
7Bake at 400 °F for 40 minutes, or until the topping and crust are golden brown.
8Serve as is or with a spoonful of sour cream
