Ingredients:
1/2 cupMargarine or butter
1 smallGreen bell pepper, chopped
-(about ?cup)
1 can(4 ounces) mushroom stems an
-Pieces, drained and liquid
-Reserved, or
1 cupChopped mushrooms
1/2 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1 1/2 cupMilk
1 1/4 cupChicken broth
2 cupCut-up cooked chicken
1 Jars (2 ounces) diced pimien
-Drained
Hot cooked rice, toasted br
-Triangles or patty shells
Procedures:
1Heat margarine in 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
2Cook bell pepper and mushrooms in margarine 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat.
5Stir in milk, broth and reserved mushroom liquid.
6Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
7Boil and stir 1 minute.
8Stir in chicken and pimientos.
9Heat until hot.
10Serve over rice.
