| tbsp | OIL | | 1
| tsp | GARLIC POWDER | | 1
| cup | CHOPPED ONIONS | | 1
| tbsp | MINCED GINGER ROOT | | 1
| cup | CHOPPED GREEN PEPPER | | 1
| tbsp | HONEY | | 8
| oz | PINEAPPLE CHUNKS | | 1
| cup | CHICKEN BROTH | | 1/2
| tsp | CHINESE FIVE SPICES | | 1
| tbsp | CORNSTARCH | | 1
| tbsp | WATER | | 2
| cup | JULIENNED COOKED HAM SLICES | | 1/2
| cup | TOASTED ALMONDS | | 1
| x | SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash sweet potatoes. | | 2 | Pierce with a fork several times. | | 3 | Bake at 3500°F. | | 4 | For about one hour or until tender. | | 5 | Heat oil in skillet. | | 6 | Saute onion, garlic, ginger and green pepper until tender. | | 7 | Add honey, pineapple chunks, chicken broth and chinese five spices. | | 8 | Simmer for five minutes. | | 9 | Blend together the cornstarch and water until smooth. | | 10 | Stir into the broth. | | 11 | Heat until boiling, stirring until thickened. | | 12 | Stir in ham and almonds. | | 13 | Season with salt and pepper to taste. | | 14 | Heat through. | | 15 | Place hot sweet potatoes on platter or indiviual plates. | | 16 | Cut through skin and coarse mash with a fork. | | 17 | Spoon ham onto potatoes. | | 18 | Serve immediately |
