Ingredients:
1 quartSauerkraut
1 ea Onion, chopped
1 tspCaraway seeds
2 tbspButter
1 ea Potato, grated
Procedures:
1Melt the butter and add the onion and cook until brown.
2Add the sauerkraut and cook for 8 minutes.
3Add the caraway seed and potato, cover with boiling waterand cook for 30 minutes in an uncovered vessel over a slow fire.
4Cover the kettle and cook 30 minutes longer.
5Brown sugar or an apple may be added to give different flavor
