Ingredients:

| cup | Raisins | | 1 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | | 1 ea Egg, well beaten | | 2
| tbsp | Lemon rind, grated | | 1
| x | *pastry | | 2
| cup | Water | | 4
| tbsp | Flour | | | 1 ea Lemon, juice of | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash raisins and soak in cold water for 3 hours. | | 2 | Drain. | | 3 | Combine the 2 cups water, the raisins, sugar and flour which have been mixed together, salt, lemon juice and rind, and the egg. | | 4 | Mix thoroughly and cook over hot water for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. | | 5 | Cool. | | 6 | Pour into pastry-lined pan. | | 7 | Cover with narrow strips of dough, criss-crossed. | | 8 | Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes. | | 9 | Reduce heat to 350°F and bake 30 minutes |
