Ingredients:
2 Eggs
2 cupAll-purpose* or whole wheat
-Flour
1/2 cupVegetable oil or margarine
-Or butter, melted
1 3/4 cupMilk
1 tbspGranulated or
-Brown sugar
4 tspBaking powder
1 cupShredded sharp cheese (4
-Ounces)
8 sliceBacon, crisply cooked, and
-Crumbled
Procedures:
1*if using self-rising flour omit baking powder.
2Waffle irons come in many shapes and sizes, and this batter works well.
3Heat waffle iron.
4Beat eggs with hand beater in medium bowl until fluffy.
5Beat in flour, oil, milk, brown sugar and baking powder just until smooth.
6Stir in cheese and bacon.
7Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron.
8Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops.
9Remove waffle carefully.
