Peach fritters (parshing ponakucka)

Ingredients:
1/2 cupSugar
1/3 cupButter
3 tspBaking powder
1 cupMilk
1/2 tspVanilla
Whipping cream
2 Egg, well beaten
2 cupFlour
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 tspLemon juice
1 1/2 cupPeaches, chopped
Procedures:
1May use either fresh or canned peaches.
2Cream the butter and sugar, and add the eggs and beat thoroughly.
3Sift the dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk.
4Fold in the peaches, lemon juice and vanilla.
5Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat and fry until golden brown.
6Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar
