Molasses or honey doughnuts (fastnacht kucka)

Ingredients:
6 tbspMolasses
6 tbspHoney
4 quartFlour
1 x*dissolved in:
1 cupButter
1 x*or:
1 1/2 quartMilk
2 cupYeast
1/2 cupWater, warm
4 ea Egg, beaten
Procedures:
1Scald milk, cool; when it becomes lukewarm, mix in 2 quarts of flour, making a smooth batter; add yeast & water mixture.
2Beat together well and allow to stand over night.
3Combine the butter and eggs, and cream well.
4Add the honey and a little of the flour.
5Beat well and add the remaining flour, leaving enough to dust bread board.
6Allow time for full rise and then roll and cut in form of doughnuts.
7Let rise again and fry in hot cooking oil or fat
