Halibut delight

Ingredients:
1 lbsHalibut, cut into chunks
1 cupFlour
1 1/2 tspGarlic powder
1 1/2 tspCurry powder
-- (or a bit less)
1 tspMarjoram
2 tspBaking powder
3/4 tspLemon pepper
2 cupPanko
--(Japanese potato flakes)
12 fl ozFlat beer (or less)
Procedures:
1Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder, and lemon pepper.
2Mix well.
3Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter.
4Dip halibut in batter and then roll in panko.
5Let stand for 2 minutes.
6Deep fry in 375 °F.
7Fat until golden brown.
8Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping.
9Serves 3-
