Ingredients:
2 sliceBacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tbspButter or margarine
2 tbspAll-purpose flour
1 cupMilk
1 tspChopped chives
1/2 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Prepare bacon and set aside.
2Melt butter in a 1-quart glass measuring picher in mirowave oven (about 30 seconds at high).
3Add flour; mix until smooth.
4Add milk gradually, stirring constantly.
5Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes at high, or until thickened; stir after 2 minutes, then every 30 seconds.
6Add crumbled bacon, chives and salt; stir.
7Serve over fresh vegetables.
8Yield: about 1 cup.
